Illinois Chiropractic Society, Inc.
The Illinois Chiropractic Society (ICS) represents the chiropractic profession in Illinois. ICS was established in 1926 as a non-profit organization and is acknowledged in the Illinois Medical Practice Act of 1987. We promote and advance professional standards of ethics, education, training and quality health care for all our members. As the organizational representative of the chiropractic profession in Illinois we are active in protecting our patient’s rights, in serving the community, and promoting interaction with other healthcare professions and service organizations.
The Illinois Chiropractic Society is the voice of chiropractic in Illinois. Our mission of protecting chiropractic and fostering its growth is achieved through many avenues. The Political Action Committee works in the legislative process to safeguard our profession and ensure chiropractic growth. Our lobbyists in Springfield helps keep Illinois Lawmakers aware of the proven benefits of chiropractic and to protect against infringement of our patients’ rights to choose their own health care professional. We also have legal counsel to represent chiropractic physicians on state and national judicial and regulatory issues.
The Illinois Chiropractic Society is proud of its past achievements. We have been instrumental in the evolution of chiropractic care in Illinois allowing for better cost effective healthcare becoming available to her citizens. The ICS will continue to promote the growth of chiropractic while fostering ongoing training and safe ethical practice techniques.
